Volume is the strategy
Why the goal is more bets, not better ones.
This is the part that feels wrong at first. You are not betting these because they are likely to win. You are betting them because the price is an outlier — and the more of them you place, the more reliably the maths shows up in your balance.
Why one bet tells you nothing
A 4% edge on a single bet is invisible. It is a rounding error against the swing of a coin. Across a thousand bets it is a number you can see from space. Expected value is a rate, and a rate only appears at volume.
Over 400 bets, the difference between the best price and the worst is −$521 — on the identical bet, decided by nothing but where you clicked.
What that means day to day
- Take the small edges too. A board of B-grade bets at volume beats waiting all week for an A+.
- Open more books. Every account is more prices, which is more chances for one of them to be wrong.
- Bet across sports and markets, not just the game you were going to watch.
- Stop grading your day by whether it won. Grade it by how many good prices you got down.
Bettors who make real money at this place hundreds of bets a month at modest stakes. The people placing three big bets a week on games they have opinions about are playing a different game, and it is a much harder one.
Turn on A+ alerts in Settings → Notifications and the top band comes to you, capped so it never becomes noise. The model's bets can come through the same way.
